Scientific Program

Plenary Lectures and Symposia

The scientific program will run for 3 full days from Wednesday, 28 January to Friday, 30 January 2009. There will be 4 Plenary Lectures and 13 Symposia (including the Presidential Symposium), all featuring outstanding overseas and Australian speakers.

Oral Communications

Some abstracts will be selected for oral communication sessions, which will be held every day of the conference.

Poster Presentations

Canberra picture The principal form of free communications will be posters. All posters will be on display for two full days of the conference. Poster sessions are scheduled during the afternoons of Wednesday, 28 January and Thursday, 29 January and will be grouped to provide opportunity for discussion across all scientific themes. The display space for posters will be 1.0 metres wide x 1.0 metre high. Velcro will be supplied - pins must not be used. Posterboards will be numbered.

Audiovisual Facilities

Data projection will be available in all lecture rooms. All presentations will be transferred to a master laptop. A technician will be present in each room to ensure the presentation is available as the speaker goes to the lectern. Please clik here for full details.
