General Information
Discount Airfares
The ANS 2012 committee feels it is in the best interest of delegates to shop around for a bargain,
as airfares vary so much.
Airport Transfers
A taxi fare between the Coolangatta Airport and the Jupiters Hotel is approximately $50 (depending on traffic).
There is a seven day shuttle service from the Coolangatta Airport to Jupiters Hotel. Full details of this service can
be found at: www.gcshuttle.com.au/sit_gcs_airport_transfers.htm
At 30 June 2011, the cost of tickets was $19 one way and $35 return.
Brisbane-Jupiters-Brisbane
Jupiters preferred supplier for transfers from Brisbane is Con-x-ions. This is a shuttle service and the cost is $44.00 per person each way. Jupiters can make the booking on behalf of delegates staying at Jupiters, or registrants not staying at Jupiters can go direct to Con-x-ions...the price remains the same. Bookings need to be made at least 24 hours in advance.

Information for International Visitors
Passports and Visa
All non-Australian citizens must obtain a visa or travel authority before travelling to Australia. A visa is a stamp or label in a passport; a travel authority is an electronic record authorising travel into Australia. Every person travelling to Australia has a personal responsibility to obtain a visa for their stay in Australia. The ANS 2012 organisers cannot take responsibility for obtaining visas. For information on the appropriate visa for your travel to Australia, or on entry into Australia, visit the Department of Immigration and Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs (DIMIA) website www.immi.gov.au/index. htm or contact the Australian Overseas Mission in your country, See www.immi.gov.au/contacts/ overseas/index.htm for your closest Australian visa office.
Travel and Arrival
It is strongly recommended that international visitors from Europe and America allow at least one day in which to
adjust to the time difference. Travellers crossing the Pacific will lose one day when crossing the International Date
Line.
Medical and Travel Insurance
It is strongly recommended that international visitors seek advice and take out appropriate travel insurance and medical cover. Overseas visitors are required to pay in full all medical expenses incurred while in Australia. The conference organisers accept no responsibility for any participant failing to arrange their own insurance.
Weather
The average January temperature on the Gold Coast ranges from 19 to 28° C.
