Online and pre registration is now closed. Registrations are still welcome on site at the conference.

Registration Desk

The registration desk will be located in the Parkside Foyer, Level 1 of the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre for the duration of the conference. The desk will be open at the following times:

Registration Fees

Australia has a Federal Goods and Services Tax (GST) of 10%. The ICAR2013 conference is being run and underwritten by the University of Western Australia (ABN: 37 882 817 280) which is exempt from Australian GST. Accordingly the Registration Fee is exempt from GST. However all other expenses of the conference (social events, tours and the T-shirts) attract GST at the rate of 10% and all prices quoted for these items are inclusive of GST.

*Students are defined as full-time students enrolled for degrees or diplomas at a university or tertiary institution and who do not hold full-time employment positions. Day registration is not offered to students.

The full, student and retired registration fees cover attendance at all scientific sessions, a copy of the conference programme and CD of abstracts, a conference satchel, a complimentary entrance to the Tuesday Welcome Mixer, a complimentary entrance to the Wednesday Happy Hour, lunches on each day of the conference and Morning/Afternoon Coffee Breaks for the duration of the conference.

The day registration fee includes all of the above for the day of attendance.

Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellations must be notified in writing to the Secretariat. Cancellations prior to Monday, 15 April 2013 will be refunded, but will incur an administration fee of $120. There will be no refunds after 15 April 2013. Substitute participants will be accepted.


In case of industrial disruption, the ICAR 2013 Local Organising Committee accept no responsibility for loss of monies incurred by participants. If, for reasons beyond the control of the organizers, the conference is cancelled, registration fees will be refunded after deduction of expenses already incurred.


Personal information, as defined under the national privacy legislation, The Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2001, will be treated in accordance with the National Privacy Principles and only shared with related or third parties in accordance with those principles. Please complete the section of the registration form relating to privacy if you do not wish your personal information to be included in the published Participant List to be distributed to participants and exhibitors at the meeting on CD-ROM, in PDF format.
